Bedrooms
We have tried to make our bedrooms as comfortable as possible but please keep in mind that we are a guest house, so apart from the family room, our rooms are not large. All rooms are equipped with central heating, wash hand basins, colour television, coffee table and armchairs, radio/alarms, hair driers and hospitality trays.
For overseas visitors the term twin means two single beds, and this type of room is suitable for 2 people. A double room means one standard size double bed, again suitable for 2 people. Single rooms have 1 single bed, and are suitable only for 1 person. The family room has 1 double bed and 2 single beds, suitable for a total of 4 people.
Your own set of keys will ensure access at all times. Our no-smoking policy extends throughout the guest house and all bedrooms are non smoking. We have en-suite or private facilities for six of the bedrooms.
The following rooms are available to stay in:
1st Floor (USA 2nd Floor)
The rooms on this floor all have high ceilings and original plaster cornices. Large traditional sash windows mean there is plenty of light.
2nd Floor (USA 3rd Floor)
All rooms on this floor have coomb ceilings. This makes them appear slightly smaller than the first floor rooms which all have high ceilings but there are better views from rooms 5 and 6.
| Room 5. Twin/Double room (the single beds are zip and link so can be made into a large double). There is an en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet and wash hand basin. Views are to the back of the house. |
 |
| Room 6. Double room with shower, toilet and wash hand basin en-suite. This room is slightly smaller than the other en-suite room, but has a large window. Views are to the back of the house. |
 |
| Room 7. Single room with wash hand basin only, and velux skylight window on the coomb. Shares a bathroom with room 8. |
 |
Room 8. Double room with wash hand basin only, and velux skylight window on the coomb. Shares a bathroom with room 7.
Note:
Rooms 7 and 8 and the bathroom they share, are all right beside each other. As these 2 rooms do not share the bathroom with any other rooms, they are ideal for 3 people, where 2 rooms may be preferred over a family room. |
